Please follow the instructions below to setup Outlook Express to
send and receive email from your servers:
(NOTE: Where you see "mail.netsa.co.za" replace that
server name with the server assigned to you - typically this will
be "mail.your_own_domain_name.co.za")
First, open Outlook Express and click on the "Tools"
menu option. Then select the "Accounts..." menu option.
Outlook Express will now display a list of all the different accounts
you have.

Now click on the Mail tab at the top of the window.Outlook Express
will now display a list of all the different mail accounts you have.

Now click on the Add button and select the Mail... option
1. Create a new mail account
Enter any name (as you would like your name to appear in email you
send) in the Display name field
now click the Next button.
2. Email address
In the "E-Mail address" field, enter a
valid email address .
Now click the Next button.
3. Email server names
In the "Incoming mail server" area enter mail.your_domain_name.co.za
or the server assigned to you.
In the "Outgoing mail server" block, also enter mail.your_domain_name.co.za
or the server assigned to you.

Now click the Next button.
4. Mail logon id and password
In the Account name area, type the user id as supplied by NetSA
or as created in your control panel. (This must be the full email
address)
In the Password area, type the password as supplied by NetSA or
as created in your control panel.

Make sure the "Remember password" box is ticked and press
the Next button.
5. Almost done!
Click the Finish button, but there is one more thing to do...
6. Now edit the account
Click on the "Tools" menu option and then select the "Accounts..."
menu option again.
Select the account we just created (click on the "Mail"
tab first to make it easier to find) and then click on the Properties
button.
7. Server settings
Click on the "Servers" tab and then tick the box next
to "My server requires authentication"
This is a very important step. You will not be able to send email
unless you do this.

Note that "Logon using secure password authentication"
must not be ticked.
Now press the Ok button, and then press the Close button to return
to Outlook Express.
Congratulations! You configured your email account!
Test your account
To test your new email account, send an email
to test@netsa.co.za. When your message is received, a reply
will be sent automatically within a few seconds.
